Style: English Barleywine
ABV: 10.5%
Origin: Kamperland, Netherlands.
My review:
Poured into a 20 oz. snifter.
This beer poured a deep red with a foamy off-white head. Sweet aromas of caramel with notes of freshly baked cake. (Yummy) Flavor is strong and sweet with a light hop bitterness and a slight alcohol burn after the swallow. Mouth-feel is not as full-bodied as I expected from a 10.5% ABV barley wine, but not too thin, either. Overall, a nice non-English, English barley wine. Price in my area (Branson, MO) is $5.99 for an 11.2 oz. bottle.
