Alhambra - Negra
Alhambra - Negra
Style: Euro Dark Lager
ABV: 5.4%
Origin: Granada, Spain
This black lager from Alhambra pours a very dark reddish black colour with a moderate off-white head. The nose is primarily malty, with a little liquorice note and quite a fresh, if not particularly complex character. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with racy, clean lemony flavours and just a touch of toasty malt in the background. Some liquorice and burnt toast bitterness peaks through on the finish. This is a pleasantly sippable and enjoyable 'Dunkel' style beer. - Roger Protz

Moritz - Red IPA
Moritz - Red IPA
Style: American Amber
ABV: 5.4%
Origin: Barcelona, Spain
OK, we aren't the first to have an IPA, but we have one with ruby hints, a bitter aftertaste, and predominant hop, floral, herbaceous and resinous aromas. Fruity aromas of apple, peach, figs and raisins, and hints of caramel, liquorice, coffee and nuts. Well, yes. It's something to be ordered two at a time.
